This week on Thursday we heard a poem that was called "what did I miss" basically it stated that when you miss something such as a day of school or meeting, it is not only you who missed out on what went on. Everyone else around there missed you.
Now I am not staying that they were like sad in anyway because you were not present, what it means is that they missed your ideas, comments and inputs on what was discussed. Everyone has a voice and when someone is not physically there, that voice is gone. A single voice does matter and what that indivdual would have said during a disccussion or class work could have been extremly important or even eye opening for the people around them.
This really spoke volumes to me because i never thought about in that way. People don't think about how much of an effect other have one them. I then went to think about how a person missing can impact a lot of things, and of course I related in soccer. In soccer we are all a team and make up a giant puzzle but when one or two people are missing the team or puzzle is not longer complete. In games the play or style more than likely won't even flow right because that individual is gone. In fact after games sometimes, if your team lost and you were missing players, teammates will even say "ohh well we were missing our best scorer" or something along those lines. That person could have made a difference.
Even though that is not a voice I feel like it is the same thing. Individuals presense in a situation can impact a lot of things even if they do not realize it. One voice, One person can speak volumes and they should not let the rest of the world miss out on it.
